So, what is the difference?

 

  1. The Living Creature calls to John to “come and see”.
  2. The Living Creature calls to the rider on the horse to come forth and show John what is in the seal.
  3. In “1” the Living Creature is only a faceless unknown announcer.
  4. In “2” the Living Creature is calling forth the scene/action to be seen, thus being a catalyst to the scene/action to be seen.
  5. The LC has nothing to do with the scene.
  6. The LC is a part of the seal.

I think it is number 2 which is more accurate. The “Authorized version” or Byzantine Manuscript is probably in error. Why? There had to be a reason for using the 4 Living Creatures in the first 4 seals and then omitting them in the last 3. Seeing as the first 4 have to do with the earthly matters and the first approximately 4 thousand years of existence, I see the use of the 4 Living Creatures as further context of the seals in which they are used. 1 The “Lion” of the tribe of Judah, the conqueror. 2. The Calf, used in sacrifice for forgiveness put to death by the sword. 3. The “Man” who would come but would be rejected creating a famine. 4. The “Eagle” that would carry them into the desert while those who did not believe were destroyed, the pestilence.
